| Upon receiving this holder, I was excited to get it installed for my daily commute between college and home. It went into the cigarette lighter socket very easily and tightened up nice. The neck had to be angled slightly to avoid the gearshift in my car, but was easily done. Now for the double-edged sword. The unit will not hold your iPhone/iPod Touch upright if not tightened enough, but I believe because of this the unit malfunctioned severely. The only thing holding the entire iPhone/iPod holder onto the flexible neck is a piece of plastic wrapped around a screw that allows the unit to pivot/rotate and tighten. Within the 30 minute drive to school, the unit broke and the part that goes into the cigarette lighter port was lodged in there and took a pair of vice grip pliers and about 10 minutes to get out with a lot of strenuous grunting involved. I am severely turned off into ever buying anything from iGrip again. Poor construction, overpriced for what you get. Also, on top of all that, the first time you place your mobile device into the product, the rubber pads come off and get sticky, gooey glue all over your product that takes a lifetime to get off. DO NOT BUY, EVER! | |||||
